Food Room Refurbishment news

The school have an ambitious plan to refit both of the food technology rooms over a two year period at a cost of £140,000 starring this summer. The rooms have not been updated in the last 20 years and the growing demand for much needed Food & Nutrition education is proving difficult for the school to meet. Only one of the two rooms is suitable for both practical lesson and theory, the other being used primarily for just theory. If the plans can be fully implemented they will result in two rooms which can be used for both theory and practicals meaning an huge increase in capacity in the department. Anyone who has ever come along to the school summer concerts and sampled the amazing tasters on offer presented by a most professional bunch of students will know what an amazing job Mr Oaten does.
